A lot of top teams had byes, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of action. 4 major games completely shook up the rankings this week.

The top 25 is mostly just teams moving up to replace Iowa State and Florida State who dropped substantially; and Penn State and Texas who dropped completely out after both teams lost. Miami FL, Alabama, and Illinois all separately impressed me though.

Nebraska is a team I’ve been high on all along and think they’re playing like a top 25 team. Cincinnati just pulled off a huge win but fell just short for me. Texas and Penn State are here after deservedly falling out but being 1 big win away from reentering the conversation.
Watch List
- Kansas
- SMU
- Baylor
- James Madison
- UNLV
- North Texas
- Louisiana Tech
- San Diego State
- Boise State
- Fresno State
- Navy
- Washington State
These teams have shown flashes or have potential as a G5 team; they are on my radar but remain outside of serious consideration. North Texas has a great chance to play their way up into the next group with their USF matchup coming up.
